PowerXtreme PPC9B SBC
6U VME single board computer with Power Architecture QorIQ P2020 processor

Overview
Dual core processor technology
Built around the Power Architecture QorIQ P2020 dual-core processor, the PPC9B rugged 6U VME single board computer provides a higher level of performance than its predecessor yet operates within the same power envelope. This allows more throughput per slot, thus enabling existing systems to do more without compromising current power and space allotments.
A power miser
The PPC9B’s power dissipation of only 20-25 watts makes it smart for rugged, deployed applications where minimal heat dissipation is essential such as sensor fusion and processing, tracking and targeting, weapon guidance and electronic support subsystems. While the PPC9B’s power/heat characteristics make it ideal for thermally challenged applications, its multiple air- and conduction-cooled configurations enable it to operate in a range of environments from office/benign to harsh.
