Overview


NETernity™ PMC942 is a fully integrated 7-port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet switch designed to support the low-cost requirements of unmanaged switch applications and converging networks. Seven ports are external; an eighth port appears as a NIC (Network Interface Card) to the host SBC to which the PMC is attached and converging networks.

  • Full wire speed Layer 2 switching on all ports
  • Serial console signals routed to P4
  • Onboard NIC is connected to an eighth port on the switch
  • PIM available to access the rear ports
  • Single port Gigabit Ethernet controller appears as a network interface to the host
  • Four ports accessible from front RJ45 connectors, three ports routed to P4
  • Seven 10/100/1000BaseTX port;auto-negotiating; supports full or half duplex
