Overview

IP-SERIAL provides two EIA-232/422/485 multi-protocol serial ports, each with a full set of handshake and clock signals. The asynchronous receiver has a three-character FIFO. For synchronous operation (SDLC/HDLC), a ten-frame deep frame status FIFO is provided.

  • Two EIA-232/422 ports on a single-wide IndustryPack
  • Multiprotocol support including DSLC, HDLC, BiSync, NRZ, NRZI, and Biphase
  • Option for one port as EIA-485
  • One channel can be clocked by the other
