Overview


AVC-VME 6000 provides a rugged, yet highly flexible COTS computing platform suited for military aviation, civilian aviation, and other applications requiring rock-solid reliability such as UAVs, booster vehicles, and ground vehicles. Manufactured using Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) and milling, the aluminum alloy (6061-T6) is strong, lightweight, and resistant to EMI.

At 7.82" H x 4.88" W x 12.61" D, the 300 watt, 6U VME 5 slot configuration provides two Intel® Celeron® or Pentium® III processor-based single board computers, 2 dual redundant 1553 channels, 4 channels of high speed serial, a SCSI interface, and graphics processing capabilities. The AVC-VME 6000 dissipates less than 71 watts of power through conduction cooling.
