Overview

The 406-1 PC/AT to VME bus adapter connects a PC/AT to a VMEbus system for fast, cost-effective sharing of memory and special purpose boards. The adapter provides high-speed data transfers, and requires minimal software support. Interconnected at the physical layer, the two buses can share memory; the memory appears to and is treated by each system as if it were its own.

  • A32, A24, A16 addressing; D32, D16, D8 data widths
  • Supports copper cable to 25 feet
  • Includes one PC/AT adapter card and one 6U A32 VME adapter card
