SBS Micro Alliance Introduces Model 780 Industrial Embedded Tower PC Enclosure

SBS Micro Alliance announces the Model 780, its new industrial embedded tower enclosure designed for use in modular applications where the computer can be installed in a confined area or as a free standing tower. The enclosure is ideal for process control and industrial automation applications, acting as a controller in such equipment as fluid dispensing machines and printing presses. "The all-steel enclosure provides EMI/RFI shielding and line transient protection," said Ed Larson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "It's designed to meet the certification shielding and safety requirements of FCC, UL, CSA, TUV and CE." Price and Availability
The Model 780 (8.25'W x 16'D x 15.75'H) is priced from $750.00 (list) and is available immediately for delivery in two weeks. Features
Two versions of the Model 780 are available, one with a baby AT motherboard and another with an 8-slot ISA or PCI/ISA passive backplane. The 780 can accept the complete spectrum of baby AT motherboards and plug-in CPU cards from 80486DX4-100MHz to the Pentium II. The Model 780 is equipped with a 230W power supply (100K hour rated), card hold-down bracket, and three high efficiency ball bearing fans (90 CFM) with a washable filter. Three front accessible shock mounted peripheral bays (two 5.25î and one 3.5') and one 3.5' optional internal drive bay are available.
