Radstone Technology, the world's leading independent supplier of high-performance, ruggedized and conduction cooled embedded computer products for defense and aerospace applications is partnering with DSPCon, Inc., Bridgewater NJ, a leading developer of high performance real-time DSP systems for the military, aerospace and test and measurement markets. The two companies will combine their respective expertise to deliver system level solutions for the most demanding real-time DSP problems. Typical applications include airborne radar, sonar, electronic warfare, signal intelligence, smart weapons, avionics, and deployed embedded systems for tanks, unmanned vehicles, and surface ships. DSPCon will utilize its extensive applications development capability to combine Radstone’s broad range of rugged, Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) DSP, Processor, Graphics, Communications and I/O products with its standards-based real-time software, DSP algorithms, math libraries, graphical user interface, and mass storage devices. This powerful combination of resources will enable the rapid development and deployment of highly capable systems for the military and related customers. Commenting on the announcement DSPCon President, Al Brower said: “We are very excited about this new relationship. Radstone’s expertise with COTS ruggedized products and our DSP real-time systems development capabilities enable us to deliver fully ruggedized application solutions to our military customers. Recent increases in the demand for deployed embedded high-performance real-time DSP systems require a higher level of ruggedization than our traditional capabilities allowed. Radstone provides an excellent platform for us to migrate our wide range of DSP and graphics software, and specialized I/O products to systems for harsh military environments. It also enables us to leverage our security clearances and cleared development facilities to further increase our business with government agencies and prime contractors working on classified military programs.” In addition, DSPCon’s application engineering resources will be made available to Radstone’s customers to provide assistance in solving technical problems and reducing development timescales. Peter Cavill, Radstone’s Managing Director said: “Radstone has the most comprehensive range of real-time and DSP embedded computing products. The partnership with DSPCon will bring new levels of expertise and support to our customers as they deal with the challenges of creating complex, high performance ruggedized systems. I believe this will be a win-win-win deal for Radstone, for DSPCon, and most importantly, for our customers.” - ends – About DSPCon, Inc DSPCon is a leading provider of high-performance, real-time digital signal processing systems and subsystems for the military, aerospace and test and measurement markets.
