Albuquerque (June 17, 2004) â Today SBS Technologies®, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBSE), a leading provider of embedded computing technology, announced that it has received a contract to develop processor boards for China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC). This is anticipated to be a multimillion dollar project for SBS with production over several years. CETC is a large state-owned corporation of 46 research institutes and 26 companies specializing in electronic technology with strong manufacturing and production capabilities.
CETC member companies will design and build electronic production equipment and tools for the electronics market using advanced embedded computing platforms supplied by SBS Technologies.
"The opportunity to participate in CETCâs ongoing projects is the beginning of a long term relationship that provides CETC with advanced embedded computing products and systems. CETC will combine SBS Technologiesâ advanced products with CETC equipment design and building capabilities to produce world class electronics production equipment," said Ron Strauss, Director of Asia Business Development SBS Technologies.
CETC is the only large business group in China composed of both research institutes and member companies that can leverage the technology expertise of SBS through the manufacturing capabilities of its member companies.
