HUNTSVILLE, Ala.— August 2, 2016  Abaco Systems today announced that it has relocated its High Performance Embedded Computing (HPEC) Center of Excellence (CoE) to new premises in response to growing customer demand.

Located in the Boston area, Abaco’s HPEC CoE supports customers in the full lifecycle of the development of the most advanced, most sophisticated embedded computing applications, from initial architecture design through integration to the optimization necessary to create rugged, mission-ready platforms that are optimized for size, weight and power (SWaP).

“HPEC is both a strategic and a rapidly-growing business for us, and the volume of projects our customers have asked us to undertake has risen rapidly over the past couple of years,” said David Tetley, Engineering Manager and Site Leader for the HPEC CoE. “The new location gives us the infrastructure we need, and provides us with a facility that enables us to support our customers even better than before.”

The CoE team is also responsible for the development of AXIS, a unique and innovative software development tool that is widely used by Abaco’s customers and that substantially facilitates the prototyping, development, debugging and deployment of sophisticated embedded computing applications.

“Since we opened the CoE in 2012 it has become a resource that our customers value highly because it enables them to bring complex systems to deployment, much faster than would otherwise be possible,” said Bernie Anger, CEO, Abaco Systems. “Hardware alone is not enough: what makes the Abaco proposition so compelling is that we combine our hardware offering with an outstanding set of complementary software – and, more importantly, with the expertise and experience of our people.”

“We recently expanded our Networking CoE in Edinburgh, Scotland as well,” concluded Anger. “Together, these two new facilities are part of an increasing level of investments oriented to deliver world class responsive support to our customers.”
