NETernity™ CP920 is a full wire speed, fully managed, non-blocking Layer 2/3 switch with 24 ports. The switch provides an all Gigabit solution for high availability PICMG 2.16 systems. This switch is an air cooled board with copper rear I/O. All the ports are compliant to PICMG 2.16 and are switched ports. In a standard 19” rackmount chassis, 19 ports can be used in accordance with the PICMG 2.16 specification, with the remaining 5 ports available to the user for additional links via the rear transition card (TRCP9XX-5RC). Based on the Motorola XPC8240 processor and the Broadcom BCM 5690 switch fabric, the CP920 has integrated layer 2/3 switching capabilities as well as the ability to support higher layers 4-7 as required. CP 920 is hot swappable for easy field replacement and can be fully managed via SNMP, Telnet or a web server interface. Management software capabilities include: VLAN tagged, port based and virtual; Spanning Tree; Link Aggregation and Fail Over; IP Multicast; QoS with four priority queues; 802.3x flow control and backpressure. The CP920 is compliant to the system level bus specification PICMG 2.9.
