Description
Noise is being generated on the digital ground in chassis. This has been known to contribute to video problems on the 7658 SBC (see ECO 05-0065 and 05-0066).
There is a digital ground wire that is approximately 16" long that stretches across the power supply from the digital ground to the GND connection lug. This ground cable passes very near the boxer fan, which is inducing noise into the ground cable.
Resolution
The longer ground wire has been replaced with a short wire and repositioned to not pick up noise from the boxer fan.
